Tour of Mount With All Facilities | Ramstad Architect
May 15th, 2010 - Posted in Modern Design, UncategorizedLocated in Norway, in the past Trollstigen perched dramatically between deep fjords that characterize this region. This site can only be visited and the panorama was built in the summer, because of severe winter weather. Despite-or perhaps because of-nature can not be accessed from the site, this project requires all visitors to design environments ranging from mountain huts with restaurants and galleries for the flood barriers, water cascades, bridges, and roads for outdoor furniture and pavilions and platforms means to view scenery. All these elements are molded into the view so that visitors experience the place seem more intimate. Intervention is respectful of fine architecture, and understood as a thin thread which guides the visitor from one another stunning overlook. Caution about the features and materials will emphasize the angry site and characters, and well-adapted, functional facility will enhance the experience for visitors. This architecture will be marked with the clear and appropriate transitions between zones are planned and natural scenery. Through the notion of water as a dynamic element-from the snow, to running and then falling water and stone as a static element, the project has created a series of prepositional relations that describe and glorify the site’s unique spatiality.Via
