Sagaponac house is 4500 sq ft house on eastern Long Island community, Wainscott, NY is a master-planned by Richard Meier. Only consists of simple lines and shapes but firmly rooting itself to the landscape and create privacy by establishing a magnetic field. Even though the site was nearly flat before construction, the architect has managed to establish first a little below grade level and sculpt the surrounding area to rise gently. Which allows the volume seen to be reduced and provides a place to create an indoor / outdoor space is very open to their environment.
