Contemporary House in a Modernist Landmark Community Crestwood Hills
July 19th, 2010 - Posted in Living Room Interior, real estatebittonidesignstudio has completed evansHOUSE located in the Crestwood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
The plan of this building remodel and additions to an existing home in 1957 + Benton Park which is situated high above the city overlooking the entire LA basin. This project was framed around taking something ‘modern’ and make it more contemporary. Condition of existing space that house clearly divided between public (lower level) and private (upper level) and fixed in a horizontal orientation completely. The main step is to carve out a double height space above the kitchen to turn on the vertical section and allows for more social interaction. While the idea of indoor outdoor living is usually taken for granted in Southern California, high altitude location that allowed for the connection of the atmosphere rather than a connection to the landscape. As clouds of color changing and always moving along the beach, home and material that is considered as a canvas that will be manipulated by the sky. Via

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is great blog. A fantastic read. I’ll definitely be back.
