Concept Design Rejuvenation Hotel V Wanchai “Urban Housing Solutions”
May 6th, 2010 - Posted in Bedroom Interior, Living Room InteriorThe concept of this building as a metaphor roughness. walls are finished with a special feature Tri-tonal mosaic tile Tile to provide a different visual ambience in different weather conditions. As a parable, does not include only one literal that is not evenly distributed on the surface, the color of the surrounding noise, clutter along the streetscape façade expression, the rise & fall horizon, all in all, this is the backbone in which our concept lies. We see the building as a large piece of the existing “roughness” in front of us. There is a reference that we associate the whole building for – Cappadocia, Turkey. The idea is then to carve out all parts of this roughness to the space occupied. And this idea of coarse-fine-duality will be formulated and this has been colonized each side of the building.
Contrary to this roughness is conceptually redundant “edge” of the skin off of the wall has been carved rough and be a part of the ultra-smooth, carved furniture. This “edge features”, made of marble, covering the entire depth of the porch reception and runs all the way to the front of the store. It contains various functions such as exhibition space in front, followed by the guests and the reception desk area at the end. These principles are the same design implemented in the entrance foyer – with a twist. The entrance to the cave-like, rough elements, features ceiling wall complex with subtle transformation of the square opening in front of the store for a quarter-elliptical arc in revenues and is considered as a rough element. Also changed is the scale height of more than 5m in front of stores to 2.5 million only at the reception desk, ceiling-scale change marks the gateway from the hustle and bustle of the city & into a prestigious hotel.Via
